Jim Lang, BA, MEd, is an author, motivational speaker and award-winning television producer who has become an internationally recognized authority in the field of entrepreneurship education. He is also an entrepreneur who has nearly twenty years experience operating his own business. He doesn't just talk the talk, he walks the walk.

With Mary Ackroyd, his wife and partner of 27 years, Jim operates Lang & Ackroyd Productions Inc., which has become a world leader in the production of television, print and interactive programming in the field of entrepreneurship. Over the past several years, the company has focused on Jim's growing demand as a motivational speaker for corporations, associations, and training institutions.

He has written and produced four major documentary television series profiling hundreds of entrepreneurs, including The Spirit of Adventure, which is used in more than 7,000 educational institutions in Canada, The United States and Europe and is broadcast regularly on TVO in Ontario. Multi-media productions include Planning for Success, a highly-acclaimed video and CDROM resource package now being used in schools nation wide.

Jim Lang is also a successful author with three books in current international release: Make Your Own Breaks, Great Careers for People Who Want to Be Entrepreneurs, (the first careers book on entrepreneurship ever written for high school students), and Papa X-Ray, a lighthearted and humorous book about a small family's adventures in aviation, flying Canada's north in a Cessna. Jim is also co-author of Catching the Wave (’97): Framework for Youth Entrepreneurship Success. Published by the Government of Canada, it guides all federally-initiated entrepreneurship training. Jim has also written nearly a dozen Teachers' and Users' guides for clients such as the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), The Canadian Federal Government and The Canadian Foundation for Economic Education.
