BIO

Jeremy Bennett is the published author of The Power of the Mind: How I Beat OCD (Flanker Press), international motivational speaker, professional magician, and television personality.

Life throws stumbling blocks in our way all the time. No one understands this better than Jeremy Bennett whose incredible life story is a testament to human beings’ ability to leap almost any hurdle.  Audiences around the world have attended his speaking engagements and come away with new-found wisdom and self-empowerment.

Tragedy struck Jeremy at an early age.  When he was a child, his home life took a frightening turn when a virtually unknown mental illness, obsessive-compulsive disorder, invaded his mind and took over his body.  Years would pass before he could put a name to this manipulative stranger.  Doctors will tell you today that OCD is an anxiety disorder that compels its victims to perform repetitive actions (compulsions), both in thought and deed, in an effort to curb feelings of anxiety brought on by intrusive, recurring, often negative thoughts (obsessions).  Sufferers will tell you that their ritualistic behavior is the only way they know to create order in a chaotic world.

Science has brought the mystery of OCD a little closer to being unraveled today.  However, doctors, scientists, academics, and in fact every person who has ever felt like his or her life was out of balance would do well to pay close attention to Jeremy’s story.  It cannot be disputed that medication can diminish symptoms in sufferers of OCD and other mental illnesses, but the fact that Jeremy looked inward for a cure, and found it, is nothing short of miraculous.  The Power of the Mind: How I Beat OCD is more than just a story of one man’s triumph over a neurological disorder.  There is something greater at work here.  If there is one message, one truth that is too often overlooked in today’s quick-fix societies the world over, it is that each of us has the potential—the power within us—to first recognize what needs to be changed in our lives, then accept the challenge to face these necessary changes head-on, and finally to evolve into stronger, more confident versions of ourselves, capable of turning some of life’s biggest stumbling blocks into springboards.

Jeremy will show you that the keys to happiness, productive living, and success are indeed within your reach.  Addiction, mental illness, low self-esteem, and lack of confidence are but a few within the quagmire of countless negative influences that keep us from becoming the individuals we want to be.  However, the mind is a powerful thing.  Once it is unlocked, worlds of possibilities become obvious to the seeking individual.  Paths are cleared and choices defined.

Your mind is your secret weapon.  Anything that happens in your life is an opportunity for self-growth.  The experience of having OCD has created an opportunity for Jeremy to bring out in him, his soul’s destiny.  To empower others to go beyond any crisis, any difficulty in their life.  The Power of who you are can transform your life and be the unfoldement of your mission.  Jeremy will show that path to you.  It is possible even when the odds look totally against you.

Jeremy Bennett’s message is that you need only believe you can overcome, and that once you believe, your mind’s infinite power will show you how.

He became the author of his own destiny. You can, too.
